COVID-19 Protocol

While many things have changed in the age of COVID-19, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection control processes are designed so that every single patient encounter is safe. As we enter into a new normal, we continue our usual practices, and have made some changes to ensure we are addressing the specific risks presented by COVID-19.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). These agencies have task forces that have provided up to date recommendations to deal with new challenges. We are adhering to these recommendations and have added some extra precautions as well. For example:

Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. This means we will make every effort to speak to you prior to your appointment. Your temperature will be taken upon entry into the office.

You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys, and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. That might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointments.

We all wear masks at all times.

We have installed air purification systems in each room with UltraHEPA air filters, removing particles down to .003 microns.

We look forward to seeing you and are very happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. We will continue to alter our practices as needed, as more is understood about this virus.

Thank you for being our patients! We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to continued health and smiles.
